We will be working from a live model, with a new model every month.  Models will maintain the same pose each night for the entire month.

Students are welcome to draw, paint, or both. Less experienced artists are encouraged to draw
so they can learn the basics.

The next recommended step is a grisaille,
or a one-tone painting with a thin wash
of brown or gray.

Intermediate and advanced artists will use a full palette and several techniques:
Palette knife, Alla Prima, and Glazing.

Paint with your eyes, your mind, and your intuition. Technique comes second.

Get in over your head, take on big challenges.

Think abstractly. Don’t attach a name to the things you paint.

Focus on the process more than the outcome

Don’t imitate.

Watch your state of mind while you work.

Paint directly, use a knife, and load it up.

Have some fun & don’t obsess.

Feeling is everything!
